Global retail hotspots

At CBRE we are constantly tracking the movement of international retailers to understand the current and future retailing hotspots. We release annual reports identify trends and provide a commentary on individual markets to help retailers and owners of real estate to understand local market dynamics. Our regular insight includes:

How Global is the Business of Retail?  An annual review of retailers' international footprints, tracking the evolution of the global retail market.

How Active are Retailers in EMEA? A regular survey conducted to identify future expansion plans of retailers across Europe, the middle East and Africa.

Understanding Retail Destinations: A web-based guide, providing a unique insight into both established and emerging retail locations across the world. Featuring 50 Countries and 120 cities.

ShopFront: An annual magazine reviewing retail trends in over 45 countries.

To help you explore the findings of our research , below is an interactive ranking of countires featured in How Global is the Business of Retail in 2012.  This table allows you to see which countries and cities are attracting the most international retailers - for example you can see that the UK and London top the rankings at both country and city level with over 50% of the 326 retailers surveyed present in these markets.

You can explore this table by clicking the column headings to sort the data alphabetically or numerically, or search within any column in the boxes beneath the headings. In addition, by selecting the country row, you can also see any further information available.
