Businesses enjoying accelerated growth often need to know that their plans are consistent with sound environmental thinking. This can be important not just for regulatory compliance, but also reputation management and business performance.
Our sustainability experts can help, especially in the early stages of a project, to build viable commercial solutions in areas such as energy consumption and efficiency.
Successful launch of international flagship shopping centre
Westfield rightly takes its place as a landmark retail development commanding international recognition. Drawing on our global network to achieve a truly unique tenant mix, we worked with Westfield from the outset, in the leasing of central London’s largest enclosed mall.
The redevelopment of the Breidenbacher Hof in Düsseldorf has proven a successful development for our clients and a new home for retail fascias including Marc O’Polo, Calvin Klein and Douglas. We succeeded in changing the perception of this edge of prime pitch and managed the whole process from initial design, planning and leasing.
Marineda Plaza in La Coruña is an ambitious, mixed use development and will be one of Europe’s largest when it opens in 2010. With El Corte Inglés and IKEA as anchor tenants, Invest Cos chose us to carry out the leasing for this landmark scheme.
Whatever the retail format, whether a shopping centre or out of town retail park, we know that the tenant mix strategy must reflect and respond to the catchment’s consumer profile. This approach must start at the outset, as with Seci’s Castel Romano Shopping Village, near Rome.
Emerging countries do not always have access to the skills and experience enjoyed elsewhere. The developers of the Portanova centre in Croatia instructed us from the outset. Marrying our local knowledge with our cross-border experience in shopping centre design, tenantmix and infrastructure, this new 72,000 sq m centre will undoubtedly succeed when it opens in 2010.
