CBRE UK Apprenticeship Scheme

Applications for the 2017 Apprenticeship Scheme will close on Wednesday 31 May 2017.

We are welcoming applications for the commercial property or building consultancy pathways. To apply please send your CV to apprentices@cbre.com

The award winning CBRE UK Apprenticeship Scheme was launched in September 2013, and has continued to grow each year. We now have twenty nine apprentices across the business. Now in its fourth year, CBRE's Apprenticeship Programme is helping to bring fresh new talent into the commercial real estate market. The scheme offers an accredited route to becoming a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor.

Apprentices are recruited for either a level 3 Apprenticeship (5GCSE's A-C required) or level 6 Degree Apprenticeship (A-Levels required).

The level 3 apprentices are on a five year programme combining on the job learning and formal training. During their first two years they study Surveying Technician Diploma before moving on to level 6. The level 6 is then a 4 year BSc Real Estate with the APC taken in the last two years.

Ciaran Bird - UK Managing director the driving force behind the initiative, wanted to create the CBRE Apprenticeship scheme as an investment in the next generation and as a way of championing diversity within our sector. He has a personal belief in the apprenticeship scheme having started in the property industry himself aged 16.

I started in the industry at 16, and I’m very passionate about offering young people the kind of opportunities that I have had. We are always looking to attract talented people into CBRE and this apprenticeship programme will provide an alternative route into our profession to aspiring, career-orientated individuals, irrespective of their background.

We also hope that this scheme will bring further diversity to our industry and that we can lead the way in opening up career opportunities within the property sector by offering a unique chance to learn and develop skills in a global firm
.”
